Wonderful La Pedrera of Gaudí surprises and amazes with its design and the combination of incompatible details!It breaks with traditional architecture by using not a single straight line. In the year 1984 it also was declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.

If you perhaps prefer to enjoy fresh air and Spanish sun, but still would like to see incredible works of Gaudí, you must visit Parque Güell. Park Güel combines modernist style and natural environment that creates fairytale-like atmosphere. Park spreads across more than 17ha of land. It is considered the largest architectural structure in South Europe and UNESCO heritage site. Park lays on high grounds offering tourists beautiful view of Barcelona.

La Boquería is the most famous market place in Barcelona. It is set just off the main Las Ramblas street. When you enter you will be amazed by variety of fine food and delicacies. You can taste smooth texture of Jamón (cured ham) or refresh your throat with sweet juice made from exotic fruits. Buy Pimientos de Padrón (small green peppers) and enjoy their juicy and sweet taste. montjuicMontjuïc Castle, Magic Fountain & Plaça Espanya

Plaça Espanya is incredible place. On one side you find shopping centre Las Arenas on the other hand you will find National Palace.

Las Arenas shopping centre it’s not only place where you can shop-till-you-drop, but its building has a cultural importance. The building of this shopping centre is original building of arena where “Corrida de toros” (bull fights) use to take place. So if you are animal lover the only thing you hunt here will be bargains.

In the middle of the square you find 2 columns – symbols of Catalan movement. You pass the columns and you find your-self in front of La Fuente Magica (Magic Fountain). Magic fountain at night becomes a place where young people gather to watch musical fountain performance mixed with light-show. Magic fountain perform during summer season from Thursday till Sunday from 9pm every half-hour.

To take a better look on the square and fountain you should climb up Montjuïc mountain (don’t worry there are escalators as well J). On the top you find National Palace that is house of National Art Museum of Catalonia.
